Day 3 - Keyword Research

The easiest way people come to your site is by typing in a particular keyword into the search engine and the search result come back in the top 10 (perhaps more precisely top 3 positions) in the search engine.

Now that you've picked your niche, it's now time to fully research the keywords within the niche.  What your most profitable in-demand keywords are. There are a couple of tools to accompanish the task.

1) Google Keywords

Google keywords gives you an idea of the general landscape and search popularity of the particular keyword.  You will be able to have a rough estimate of what people are searching and the needs and wants of the market.

2) Froogle Keywords

Froogle is more of a product research. If people are searching for a particular product name, there would be some level of demands.  Pay special attention to the product and the features they offer. Those are indications of what people are buying the products for.

3) Google Search Base Tool

4) Keyword Tracker

5) Keyword LSI Tools

For example, we are targeting the golf niche.

After that you should start looking into the market and see what kind of solutions is being offered in the market/ niche that you are after.

Simply because those are where the buyers gather!

Also you may also search on the niche forum and read the post and get the understanding of what PROBLEMS people are having. What's the nature of the problems? Do the problems get solved by some kind of informaiton or by some kind of physical products.Listen closely to what people say?

A good niche forum tools is Big Board.

When you have a rough idea of the market, then you may start to look into the keywords research.

Personally, I use Market Samurai. It's a very good tool that provides you tons of market research information.

If you tight on budget, you can always use - google external keyword research tool.

1) Truly study the keywords before proceeding to the next steps.
2) Dig and discover the keywords and related products which are already serving the market mass.

There are actually a lot more to cover in keyword research phase.  In fact, the most talked topic these days are using paid tools to discover whether advertisers are actually paying for the keywords, which indicate existing market demand.
